Saving clients $800 for Disney… is what I call Disney magic.

I first met Carly in the Italian countryside on a Vespa tour. Random, I know. Even more randomly, the week-long trip was sponsored by travel YouTubers’ Kara & Nate. Carly signed up for the trip solo — just like I did. Before long, I realized that Carly and I shared a love for all things Disney.

“I love Disney because of the immersive experience,” says Carly. “Once you are here, all the worries in the world go away. I also love the hidden details and attention to detail the imagineers have. Disney is for anyone of any age if you allow the magic to happen.”

A full-time teacher from New Orleans, Carly decided to turn her love for Disney into a side gig… as a Disney travel agent.

“I was always my friends go-to person to book trips for them and plan out their days, but I wasn’t getting paid for it. So I thought why don’t I try to become an actual agent and get paid for doing something that I love?!”

After applying to a few agencies, Carly heard back from a local one — The Mouse Detectives — and interviewed with them immediately. She started in November ‘18.

Per Carly, “My agency didn’t have any sign-up fees or anything, but I hear that some do. I was lucky.”
